“Before taking Sarah's class I was 3 months postpartum. I was not feeling very strong and struggled to find an opportunity to get a good workout in. I yearned to feel like myself again! Now, my baby is 14 months and I'm feeling STRONGER than before. Sarah is very knowledgeable and keeps us all challenged! Right Moves Fitness has been such a wonderful experience!”

“I had gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy and was overwhelmed with trying to get back to my pre-pregnancy fitness level. I felt discouraged working out on my own, often pushing myself too hard. I knew I needed a safe place with structure to regain my fitness. I’d never done small group classes before and was nervous to join. I’m glad I did because I found the environment to be very encouraging and judgement free, I felt challenged every class and 5 years later I’m still attending and still feel challenged each class. Sarah does a great job at making her program suitable for everyone and is encouraging to challenge yourself. I’ve made some great friends through the classes and look forward to attending weekly.”

"I started training with Sarah at Right Moves Fitness when I found out I was pregnant. I was so happy I found a certified prenatal/postnatal fitness trainer that I could trust helping me keep up a healthy body while I progressed in my pregnancy. I am now entering my 3rd trimester and am thankful I found Sarah. Her group classes are small, I am able to work at my own pace with guided instruction and she offers multiple group classes so I could easily fit two workouts per week in my busy schedule. I enjoy Sarah’s workouts and I plan on continuing with Right Moves Fitness all the way to birth and postnatal as well. "

“I had thought about joining a gym but I found it overwhelming and I was really uneducated in what I should be doing. I wanted to build strength, lose a little weight, remain uninjured and have some accountability. I was anxious about starting and really afraid that I would not be able to do the work. I joined with a friend and had an in person meeting with Sarah before committing which made me feel more at ease. Now, I look forward to my sessions. I like the one on one attention and being corrected on what I do wrong. I am feeling stronger, have more flexibility, am more knowledgeable about what I am doing and have gained some confidence. I would recommend Right Moves Fitness for the small atmosphere, Sarah’s knowledge, and the thought that goes into the workouts. She listened to my goals and concerns and tailored the training towards that.”

“When Covid hit my usual exercise routine – Aquafit at ARC, closed. It didn’t take long for me to notice the loss of muscle tone, mobility, and the frustration of gaining weight. I am a ‘young at heart’ senior and want to remain mobile as long as possible. I was a little hesitant to join as the ‘elder’ in the group, but after attending my first session I was hooked. The other participants were most welcoming and Sarah encouraging. Her studio is clean, well equipped. She is located close to my neighbourhood and parking easily accessible. I soon signed up for two classes a week.
No class is the same! Sarah always has a variety of exercises and offers clear instructions and demonstrates each activity, sometimes numerous times for us with low retention! I can go at my own pace, and I enjoy the challenge of keeping up with the other younger participants. She keeps a close eye on technique and corrects it when necessary to ensure the ‘right moves’! The classes are fun! I highly recommend Right Moves Fitness. Sarah is organized, efficient and prompt. Classes start with a warmup and end with a cool down period. I enjoy the small classes and the variety of exercises. There is a very welcoming vibe in her studio, and I often leave both exhausted and invigorated! “

“I had been using the same 8 pound weights for years and was wanting to get stronger and start using heavier weights. With Sarah’s help and encouragement, I am now using 17 pound weights. I am so much stronger than I thought I could be. I’m in the best shape that I have ever been in. I have always been intimidated by going to the gym and working out. Sarah is just so personable and encouraging. The group sessions are small so she is always nearby to help if we are doing anything incorrectly. It’s such a welcoming atmosphere. I have never liked working out and now I look forward to going to my sessions. Every time I leave, I know that I’ve had a great workout. Sarah pushes me when I’m holding back and she makes sure I’m doing the exercises correctly. I would absolutely recommend Sarah. She listens to what her clients’ needs are, helps her clients achieve their goals, is so patient in showing the correct way to do the exercises and most importantly, at least for me, is that we always do different exercises in each session so it’s never monotonous and always interesting.”

“When I first started I had a baby about 5 months old and had gained alot of weight pre and post partum. My core was very weak from a c-section and I was struggling to keep my energy up daily. I was also struggling mentally as a new mom and wanted to get involved in some mommy and me activities and get out of the house more often. I was very self-conscious about working out in front of others at first as I was a beginner with very little experience working out and had recently gained over 100lbs.
A friend who also had a baby around my son's age was currently seeing Sarah encouraged me to give it a try and we registered for the class together. I felt very comfortable to workout at my current level and never felt pressured if struggling. There were always accommodations available when needed. As I gained some strength and endurance, Sarah pushed me to challenge myself in a very positive way. I have an increased core strength and energy which has helped minimize the pain and discomforts in my second pregnancy. Sarah is a very patient and supportive trainer. She has managed to create a great environment for all levels.”

‘If you are looking for a place to feel comfortable, challenged and encouraged all while having fun, then I highly recommend you start working with Sarah today!
I used to work out all the time but between 2018/2021 I had gotten sick, dealt with cancer, had a hysterectomy and the whole Covid thing. I have equipment at home but I never challenge myself when I am alone. When I saw an ad about Right Moves Fitness, I was so excited at the thought of working out again, and having a professional trainer telling me what to do. I was a bit worried about how intense it was going to be, but Sarah makes everyone feel comfortable no matter what level you are at. She offers different levels of intensity on all her exercises so you can do whatever you feel comfortable doing. She is positive, encouraging and she knows darn well when I am capable of lifting heavier and will tell me to do so, which I LOVE. The gym at Right Moves Fitness is very bright, clean, spacious and has a TON of equipment with the biggest bonus being that it's always nice and cool. Keeping the classes small makes it possible for everyone to have an ample amount of space and lots of one-on-one coaching from Sarah.
I am back to being physically fit, my mental health is much better, I have learnt so many different exercises, and I have met some pretty cool ladies!”

“Before I started working with Sarah I found I was becoming very sedentary due to the restrictions around COVID. I had gained a lot of weight, gyms were closed and my motivation was non-existent. A hesitation for starting was feeling silly working out in front of other people.I took some private lessons with Sarah and as my confidence grew, I started joining her group lessons. I find that working with Sarah is a challenge but enjoyable and I have gained a community of women who are supportive and cheer on each other's accomplishments. I would recommend working with Sarah...especially if you find the larger gyms daunting. She will guide you towards becoming a healthier, stronger you.'“

“I have been training with Sarah for just under two years and have been loving it! I was looking to invest in physical fitness in an affordable way, with a desire to try something new, strengthen my body and challenge myself in community. I love having something regular on my calendar that I commit to. My time slots have been a "decide once" that I plan around and am disciplined to attend. The circuits are always varied (no repeats from week-to-week), with options to choose between that fit my fitness level (ie beginner level, advanced level), so the workouts feel customized to my ability. If I am working with a physical limitation or injury, Sarah offers modifications personalized to my situation, which I have appreciated over the years. Right Moves Fitness is a welcoming, non-intimidating environment. I have connected with amazing women and leave the sessions feeling encouraged yet challenged. Although I started as a beginner with no fitness background, I now know how to operate the equipment, can demonstrate proper form/technique and feel confident in knowing the ability of my body. So empowering!
My strength, endurance, agility, and core muscles have improved. I have gone from not being able to complete a single sit-up, to being able to do weighted crunches; not being able to do a modified push-up, to being able to complete full pushups now. I have increased the weights I can handle, cardio endurance and have even taken to running and hiking on my non-gym days. I feel the healthiest and strongest I have ever felt and am thankful for how this translates to confidence in the rest of my life. I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking to train to do it! It has been a game-changer for me and such a life-giving investment in myself.
